In 2015, a long-term customer from Denmark (Copenhagen)—a professional plastic & metal molding company—visited Intertech in Taiwan to inspect a set of high-precision unscrewing molds before shipment. The tools were destined for a heavy-industry client developing leather-treatment equipment with large animal-feeding systems (food and drinking troughs), requiring durable, weather-resistant plastic parts molded in POM.

Project Background
Intertech’s export mold service supports customers across Europe and the USA. Most collaboration occurs “geographically far, internet-close” via email, daily calls, and shared dashboards. Orders are confirmed through detailed online communication, and we meet clients face-to-face at major trade shows—Euromold, Fakuma, Formnext, NPE—and during follow-up factory visits.
The Danish customer (A-Jon) has cooperated with Intertech for years, purchasing tools such as PC light cover molds, PMMA light diffuser molds, acrylic lighting molds, then running production for brands like Philips and Thorn. In this program, they brought two new end clients from heavy industry to our factory for on-site evaluation.

The Challenge: Short Lead Time Around CNY
The end customer targeted an early-spring 2016 market launch (with patent activity in progress). Despite a 9-day Lunar New Year shutdown in Taiwan (starting Feb 06), the molds had to be built in 4–6 weeks—a schedule most shops would decline.
Intertech accepted and engineered a plan to meet the window while protecting quality.

H13/1.2344 blocks rough-machined; unscrewing drives (servo/hydraulic options) sized for thread geometry; alignment keys and wear inserts defined. -
Precision Machining & HT (Day 10–24)
Hardening + tempering; finish machining; concentricity and straightness checks on cores; thread gauges for GO/NO-GO. -
Mold Prove-Out (Day 22–30)
T0/T1 trials in POM; cavity balance, gate-freeze study, and cavity-pressure curves to set V/P transfer; dimensional checks on critical threads and sealing faces. -
